Preben Fjære Brynemo (born August 14, 1977 ) is a former Norwegian Nordic combined skier .

Career

In the first few years of his career Preben Fjære Brynemo started mainly in the B-World Cup in Nordic Combined . There he posted third place overall in the 1997/98 season . In the following year he was able to improve again and won the overall ranking. Overall, he was able to win two days.

Brynemo competed in his first Nordic Combined World Cup in 1999. His best result in this series was a third place in a Gundersen competition on the large hill, which took place on December 1, 2001 in Lillehammer. This is also his only podium finish in the World Cup.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1996 in Asiago , Italy , he won the gold medal in a team competition with Sverre Rotevatn and Kristian Hammer . He completed his only competition at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 in Lahti . Here he finished 49th in the sprint. He also took part in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . Here he reached 22nd place in the Gundersen competition on the normal hill and 30th place in the sprint on the large hill.

Preben Fjære Brynemo completed his last international race on March 14, 2003 in Lahti.
