Paul Broadhurst (born August 14, 1965 in Atherstone , Warwickshire ) is an English professional golfer on the PGA European Tour . With over 500 participations he is one of the veterans of that major European tournament series.

Broadhurst won the coveted Silver Medal as best amateur at the Open Championship in 1988 and became a professional golfer in the same year . The following year he joined the European Tour and immediately won his first tournament victory at the Credit Lyonnais Cannes Open in 1989, which at the end of the season earned him the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year Award (best newcomer). Further victories on the tour followed in 1991, 1993 and 1995. In 1996, Broadhurst achieved its best placement in the European Tour Order of Merit with a 9th place .

In the second round of the Dubai Desert Classic in 2000, Broadhurst injured his right hand so badly that he had to sit out the rest of the season. In the following two seasons he could not find his game again and only in 2003 Broadhurst managed to regain full eligibility for the tour. In 2005 he won his fifth tournament at the Portuguese Open and was able to successfully defend this title in 2006.

Broadhurst has been playing on the European Seniors Tour since August 2015 , where he was victorious on his first appearance. He is also successful on the US Champions Tour .

Paul Broadhurst has been married to his wife Lorraine since 1991 and is the father of twins and two other children.
