Gary Orr (born May 11, 1967 in Helensburgh, Scotland ) is a Scottish professional golfer .

Career

He became a professional golfer in 1988 and has been a permanent member of the European Tour since 1993 . Orr had his best season in 2000, when he celebrated his first tournament success and another, at the prestigious British Masters , followed. This also earned him his best placement to date in the European Tour Order of Merit - 10th place - and prize money of over € 1 million. In the many seasons in the major European tournament series, he only missed the top 100 twice.

Orr represented Scotland three times in the Dunhill Cup and once in the WGC World Cup . At the Seve Trophy 2000 he was on the team of Great Britain and Ireland.

Gary Orr has been married to his wife Sarah since 1998. The two have two sons and live in Weybridge, England .
