Emmanuel Théaulon

Marie-Emmanuel-Guillaume-Marguerite Théaulon de Lambert (born August 14, 1787 in Aigues Mortes , † November 16, 1841 in Paris ) was a French playwright and librettist.

Théaulon wrote an ode to the birth of Napoleon Franz Bonaparte in 1811 , which brought him the recognition of Napoleon . In the following years he appeared with numerous vaudevilles and several opera librettos. He often worked with co-authors such as Achille d'Artois , Armand d'Artois . Jean-Henri Dupin , Maurice Oury , Etienne Jourdan , Théophile Marion Dumersan , Ferdinand Hérold , Marc-Antoine-Madelaine Désaugiers , Paul Ledoux , Gabriel de Lurieu , Ramond de la Croisette , Joseph Langlé and others together.

The verse dramas L'Artiste ambitieux (1820) and L'Indiscret (1825) stand out from the multitude of these works . His librettos were set to music by François-Adrien Boieldieu ( Petit Chaperon rouge ) and Ferdinand Hérold ( La Clochette ), Gaspare Spontini ( Alcidor ) and Michele Carafa ( Jeanne d'Arc à Orléans ). The opera Blanche de Provence ou la Cour des fées was created in 1821 as a joint work by Henri Montan Berton , François-Adrien Boieldieu, Luigi Cherubini , Rodolphe Kreutzer and Ferdinando Paër .
