Julia Richter (actress)

Julia Richter (born August 14, 1970 in East Berlin ) is a German actress who works for theater and film.

Life

Julia Richter began her acting career at the age of seven and played for almost ten years in the children's ensemble at Friedrichstadt-Palast . She learned the acting profession in the Berlin off-theater Zipper and in the theater studio Friedrichstrasse in Berlin.

After completing her acting training in 1993, Richter was accepted into the television series Friends for Life . She made her film debut as a lesbian Kati in the lead role in the coming-out comedy Kommt Mausi rausi ?! . Since then she has been in numerous leading roles, such as in Christoph Schrewes The Night in which honestly nobody had sex and in Florian Gärtner's Drachenland . She had other film roles in Sisters as well as And that's just the beginning. She also appeared in numerous guest roles in various television series such as Polizeiruf 110 and Der Bulle von Tölz . In 2012/2013 she was in the role of Marei Schiller in eight episodes of the television series Heiter bis tödlich: Hauptstadtrevier .

Richter's stage stations in Berlin were the Modern Theater, the Theater im Palais and the Theater 89 . In addition to Berlin, she played at the National Theater Weimar , the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, the Volkstheater Rostock and the Volkstheater Munich .

She lives in Berlin with her husband and two sons.

Awards

1996: For the portrayal of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet , she was awarded the Hersfeld Prize of the Bad Hersfeld Festival .
