Part of me is a German feature film from 2008. Directed by Christoph Röhl . The film opened in cinemas on October 15, 2009.

action

In Part of Me , 16-year-old Jonas becomes a reluctant father. Actually, Jonas just wants to please everyone. One day, however, when 17-year-old Vicky, a half-forgotten party flirt, hands him a letter, his life is no longer the same - he became a father overnight. Vicky manages to get Jonas to take a look at little Klara at least once. With Vicky's persistence and her commitment to the love of the child, Jonas gradually learns to take responsibility for his life.

criticism

“More romantic fairy tales than social drama, the youth film is primarily about the perspective of the involuntary father who is forced by the mother of his child in a drastically effective way to face his role as a father. What initially appears to him to be a self-abandonment turns out to be self-discovery with growing love for the baby. In doing so, sovereign actors largely absorb the unbelievable plot and weakly drawn secondary characters. "

The German Film and Media Evaluation FBW in Wiesbaden awarded the film the title valuable.
