Michael Silbereisen , born as Michael Hoppe , (born February 9, 1969 in Leipzig ) is a German actor .

Life

From September 1990 to May 1996, Silbereisen studied acting and singing (as a baritone ) at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig . He made his stage debut in the 1995/96 season at the Nordhausen Theater as Scheuch, the Iron Lumberjack, in the musical adaptation Der Zauberer von Oss . From 1996 to 1999 he was a permanent member of the musical comedy of the Leipzig Opera . From 1996 to 1998, he also completed a supplementary course in musicals at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. He has been a freelance actor since 1999. From 2000 to 2001 he did a postgraduate course at the Adolf Grimme Film Academy in Leipzig.

Since then he has mainly worked for film and television. His film career began with small roles in the TV series SOKO Leipzig (from 2001), veterinarian Dr. Mertens (2006) and the television films Die Gipfelstürmerin (2007) and 12 is called: I love you (2007). This was followed by a supporting role in the movie Part of Me (2008). In the television film Against the Current from the ZDF crime series Stubbe - Von Fall zu Fall (2010) played the Dresden bartender Patrick Zühlke.

Silbereisen continued to mainly take on episode roles in various German television series.

Silbereisen was seen several times in the ZDF crime series SOKO Leipzig in small episode roles, including a. 2005 (as a country doctor Dr. Kai Westermann in the episode The White Woman ), 2009 (as a game-addicted online gamer Mr. Liebermann in the episode Web-Spy ) and 2011 (as a violent and brutal family man Mr. Geller in the episode Moving Targets ). Silbereisen also had several appearances in the ZDF crime series SOKO Wismar : 2006 (as prisoner Winfried Larsen in the episode Hundeleben ), 2007 (as a hotel guest and work colleague Till Böttcher in the episode cooking, flirting, murdering ) and 2011 (as the lottery winner Sebastian Haffner in the result: Lotto King ). He also took on two guest roles in the ZDF crime series Die Rosenheim-Cops : in 2008 (as Fritz Serner, business partner of the murder victim in the episode Tödliches Licht ) and in 2011 (as the bicycle courier Winfried Schütz in the episode Sport is Murder ). In the ZDF crime series Notruf Hafenkante he was seen in a supporting role in the episode Jasmin's case in 2009 ; he played the laboratory doctor Dr. Linden tree.

In SOKO - The Process (2013), the five-part crossover film between the German SOKO - crime series 5113 , Köln , Wismar , Stuttgart and Leipzig , he played in the third part (SOKO Wismar) the Dachdeckermeister Falk Budnik, a customer of the murdered prostitutes Jule Wachowiak .

Silbereisen lives in Wettin-Löbejün in Saxony-Anhalt .
