Julia Oehring
Julia Oehring (born May 25, 1968 in Berlin ) is a German film editor .
life and work
Julia Oehring was born in Berlin in 1968. Her youth was shaped by classical music. As a violinist, she became a member of the RIAS Youth Orchestra in 1985, where she participated in numerous concerts and tours in Germany and abroad. After graduating from high school, she received private acting and singing lessons. She took on engagements at the theater and in independent groups and worked in radio and television productions. During an internship in directing in 1991, her enthusiasm for film editing was aroused. In the following years she gained her first experience as an assistant editor for various TV productions. Julia Oehring has been working as a freelance editor in the field of feature films and documentaries since 1994.
Julia Oehring has been a board member of the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor eV (BFS) since 2016 . She is also a member of the German Film Academy .
