Blaumacher is a black-humored German television series that is about a highly suicidal duo - a husband, entrepreneur and father in their mid-forties and a freshly graduated high school graduate who is not even half her age . The first broadcast of the series, filmed under the working title “The Summer of My Life” from August 16 to October 13, 2016 in Berlin, began on June 7, 2017 on ZDFneo .

For Frank Sporbert, husband, father and successful medium- sized company, everything seems to be going perfectly: The flawless facade, including the modern single-family house and climate-neutral car , has cracks. His wife Carmen has had an affair with her fitness trainer for some time , and for his children Max and Becky it is just a kind of ATM. Even in his company, Frank seems meaningless. His employees complete important deals themselves, and his absence is not even noticed. Frank feels empty and without perspective.
Neighbor's daughter Sascha Decker is standing in front of his door. Barely half as old as Frank, she feels just as empty and lost as he does. The daughter of wealthy parents could have anything she wants - but she is not noticed in her family. Sascha has no desire to enter into the life preconceived by her parents.
