Adam's Nightmare is a television film from the crime series Tatort on ARD , SRF and ORF . The Saarländischer Rundfunk film was broadcast for the first time on January 26, 2014. It is the 897th crime scene episode. For Chief Detective Jens Stellbrink ( Devid Striesow ) it is the third case. He is supported by the chief detective Lisa Marx ( Elisabeth Brück ) and the forensic technician Horst Jordan ( Hartmut Volle ). The three work on the prosecutor Nicole Dubois ( Sandra Steinbach ).

The extremely popular children's swimming trainer Sven Haasberger is beaten down by a gang of masked thugs after a prize-giving at the St. Johann market. The trainer's car was sprayed with the word Kinder-Ficker , and an email is leaked that Haasberger is planning a meeting with a boy. A survey of parents, children, partner, ex-wife and daughter brings little results for the inspectors. A statement by a child against Haasberger in the direction of pedophilia turns out to be false. Haasberger dies in the intensive care unit.

A “masked man” can be identified from the shoes: Jonas. He escapes to a campsite with his little brother Ben and wants to delete a chat that has started. In the evening he is beaten down by a person. In the hospital, Jonas admits that he initiated the violence against Haasberger, but did not want to have him killed.

Commissioner Stellbrink tries a trick: he is portrayed as a child molester on a website and is intended to attract the gang of thugs. After an unsuccessful attempt in front of the main station, the pack can be arrested in a bus. Looking back, it becomes clear that the emails come from Haasberger's daughter Anna. She wanted to ruin his reputation by getting too little attention from him. Everything suddenly got out of hand.

The crime scene episode "Adam's Nightmare" was filmed from April 4 to May 2, 2013 in Saarbrücken and the surrounding area.

The first broadcast of Adam's Nightmare on January 26, 2014 was seen by a total of 9.5 million viewers in Germany and achieved a market share of 25% for Das Erste .

The reviews were mixed:

According to the Berliner Zeitung the crime scene "got a little out of hand". The star mentioned that the team manages to combine fun and seriousness.
