Julia Franz Richter (* 1991 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian actress .

Life

After graduating from high school , Julia Franz Richter initially studied literature for a year . In autumn 2012 she began studying acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz , graduating in 2016. During her studies she worked at the Schauspielhaus Graz in 2014/15 in The Taming of the Shrew and in 2015/16 in Johnny Breitwieser as Anna and in Kasimir and Karoline as Maria. In 2016 she was on stage as Hermia at the Perchtoldsdorf Summer Games, directed by Michael Sturminger, in a Midsummer Night's Dream . In 2016 she also stood in front of the camera for the filming of the film L'Animale by Katharina Mückstein , in the Tatort episode Defenseless , she played the role of the police student Katja Humbold.

Since the 2016/17 season she has been a member of the ensemble at the Münchner Volkstheater , where she has since appeared in the title role in Medea , on Understand jihadism in eight steps! as well as the world premiere of Dogtown Munich and appeared in the role of Lenina Crowne in Brave New World by Aldous Huxley , directed by Felix Hafner .

From May 2017 she shot for the eight-part family drama Trakehner Blood , the second fictional series produced by ServusTV , where she embodies the main role of Alexandra Winkler, who grew up with adoptive parents. She surprisingly inherits a Trakehner stud and is confronted with her three half-siblings Silvia ( Patricia Aulitzky ), Leander ( Laurence Rupp ) and Maximilian ( Christoph Luser ). As part of the 2018 Romy Awards , she was nominated in the Best Young Women category.

She has been a member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Graz since the 2018/19 season . There she was previously seen in the title role of the Austrian premiere of Lulu - Eine Mörderballade ( The Tiger Lillies based on Frank Wedekind ) and in Miss Julie , in the 2019/20 season she played as Prof. Schuster in Heldenplatz and as Newton in Die Physiker on stage. She also worked in the production Are you GAK or STURM? With.
