action

Former professional footballer Alex Brehm is a widower. Since the death of his wife, he has had to look after his daughter Charlie as a single father and take care of her. The girl suffers greatly from the loss of her mother and only finds distraction from her pain when she goes to her favorite sport, soccer. For Alex, too, the death of his wife is difficult to grasp. When Charlie is examined some time later for health problems, including a blood analysis, it turns out that she can neither be Alex's biological child nor that of his deceased wife. The only way he can explain this is that his daughter was exchanged after the birth.

Alex investigates which other girl was born on the same day in the same hospital and finds Paula. She is the daughter of the divorced piano teacher Sophie Schönemann. Under a flimsy pretext, Alex contacts his mother and daughter and acts so clumsily that he floods their entire apartment. Since he is to blame for the mishap, he offers mother and daughter to live with him during the renovation work. After Charlie initially disagreed with it at all, she overcomes her jealousy of Paula and befriends her. Great feelings also develop between Sophie and Alex. All he has to do is confess to her why he sought her near.

Reviews

"Routine (television) comedy with thoughtful undertones that addresses questions about physical and social parenting."

“Quite charming, but without any major surprises. Conclusion: harmless-hearted - and badly predictable "

“A fun family dance with the cheerful former Frankfurt“ Tatort ”investigator Jörg Schüttauf as a single father who one day notices that his daughter cannot be his daughter. In contrast to the drama “In the wrong life”, in which two mothers fall into chaos, director Matthias Steurer [...] deals with the subject of child swapping with comedic elements. It's often predictable, but it's still entertaining. "
