action

Bella Jung now lives alone with her little godson Tom in Berlin-Kreuzberg . She found her father an apartment and daughter Lena has also moved into a shared apartment and works as a volunteer in a publishing house. Her ex-husband Martin has moved from Munich to Berlin, but also has his own apartment. One day Bella has to watch as her father Friedrich's senior citizens' flat is cleared because the passionate musician has invested money in new instruments instead of paying rent for the city's own apartment. At the responsible district office, Bella learns that the whole house is to be sold and renovated and that the rent would almost double. Bella's massage parlor is also affected, as she rented the lower floor of this house. Bella does everything to prevent this and wants to fight for herself and the household. She desperately searches for constructive ideas and hopes that Lena could write an article about this matter and bring it to the publisher for publication. But since she refuses, she shows her mother how to use a computer and the Internet. Here she first wrote an e-mail to the responsible district office, but while she almost won her first victory there, her father occupied the vacated apartment and destroyed this success again. Through this squatting, however, the press becomes aware of the matter and Lena can now take action. And Martin also tries to do his part by speaking to the district councilor whom he knows personally from earlier days. But nothing brings the hoped-for breakthrough and so the first tenants bend over and move out.

Actually, Bella wanted to go on vacation with Tom, but instead she is now fighting with all her might against the house sale. There is just a little too little time for herself and Tom and only her father seems to understand their problems. In the meantime, Friedrich's trumpet play is fatal and, as the doctor had prophesied, the music brings him to the grave. Bella's father did not survive another stroke. Martin encourages his ex-wife to stop the action and use her strength for herself. Bella doesn't want to hear about it and only realizes that she is overwhelmed when she collapses. She gives up even though she has organized a demo for the next day. She admits to the tenants that she overestimated herself. Via a video message on the Internet, she calls on everyone to keep fighting and to rely more on cooperation and not to do as much on her own as she has done. She regrets this mistake and is now on her long-awaited vacation with Tom. Little does she suspect that her vido has attracted so much attention and that the district administration is considering coming up with something to satisfy public opinion and its voters.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv commented: “Life goes on for Bella Jung. In 'Bella Casa' the bustling woman has to deal with housing politics in the big city, with gentrification, luxury renovation, everything that makes a carefree relationship and family life difficult. So there is no time for love. That's a good thing - for the credibility of this extremely successful comedy series, in which the heroine grapples with the typical challenges of modern everyday life. Here realism is paired with a comedy tone on the verge of a nervous breakdown. "

The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm gave the best rating (thumbs up) and said: “Well-being TV with aspirations? Go then!"

On evangelisch.de , Tilmann P. Gangloff said: “It is impressive how the 'Bella' series with Andrea Sawatzki has developed over the years. The films are a wonderful example of how you can keep telling new stories with the same main characters, although the basic constellation has only been slightly modified since 'Bella Vita' (2010). ”“ Bella's world is colorful, cozy and warm , but as it lasts, the shadow that falls on this world grows darker and darker. The music [...] also has a large part in the mood; the occasional songs are directly related to the plot. "
