Andreas Schäfer (composer)

Andreas Schäfer (born April 8, 1959 ) is a German film music composer .

From 1983 to 1987 Andreas Schäfer studied music at the Berlin University of the Arts (formerly HdK) and at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts . As a freelance composer, he also worked on stage music for various theaters in Germany and Austria. For the Pegnitzschäfer-Klangkonzepte he realized in 1991 together with the author Klaus Miss Bach and musician Wilfried Krüger production lawn ... from the disco and horrified passers-by to ask if they are German , a concert controversy for voices and ensemble.

Together with his artistic partners Biber Gullatz and Moritz Freise , Schäfer creates music for feature films, television films and series.

The composer lives in Cologne.
