Eliana Pittman ( Eliana Leite da Silva ; born August 14, 1945 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian singer.

Pittman was trained as a musician by her stepfather, saxophonist Booker Pittman . She made her debut at the Little Club in Beco das Garrafas , worked in Argentina for a year in 1963 and released the LP New Sound Brazil Bossa Nova with her stepfather on her return . At the invitation of Jack Paar , she traveled to the United States with her parents and appeared on his television show. The Playboy Clubs then hired her to tour fourteen states in the United States. In 1965 she returned to Brazil for a tour in her home country.

In 1966 she recorded her first hit, Niltinho . After the death of her stepfather, she withdrew from the public for some time before recording the LP É Preciso Cantar . She realized a show at the Teatro de Bolso under the same title . Her recording of the Samba enredo “O Mundo Encantado de Monteiro Lobato” by the Mangueira Samba School became a commercial success .

Between 1968 and 1971 Pittman toured Argentina, Venezuela, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Italy, France and Spain. In Cannes she hosted the Midem with Sacha Distel . She also worked as an actress in the film Capitães de Areia , a French production about Jorge Amado . She had a new hit in 1972 with João Nogueira's Esse Mar é Meu . After having only performed sporadically in the following years, she did not start a new tour until 2001 in Rio de Janeiro. From 2005 she had appearances in several television series.
