Lajos Balthazár (born June 30, 1921 in Budapest ; † February 1, 1995 there ) was a Hungarian sword fencer .

Lajos Balthazár was vice world champion with the team in 1957 in Paris and 1958 in Philadelphia , and he also took bronze with her in 1955 in Rome . He took part in the Olympic Games three times : in 1948 in London and 1952 in Helsinki , he finished fifth with the team. At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he also finished the individual competition in fifth place. With the Hungarian team he also reached the final round for the first time, which ended in second place behind Italy . Together with Barnabás Berzsenyi , József Marosi , Ambrus Nagy , Béla Rerrich and József Sákovics , Balthazár received the silver medal. Four times he was Hungarian champion with the team.
