Johann Engelbert von Jabach

Johann Engelbert von Jabach (* 1697 ; † 14 August 1747 ) was a priest and canon in the Archdiocese of Cologne .

Life

Jabach , who comes from the wealthy Cologne family dynasty Jabach , studied for 4 years at the Germanicum in Rome , where he also obtained a licentiate in both rights. After his return canons of St. Martin in Münstermaifeld and since 1721 also a canon at St. Severin (Cologne) , he received his doctorate in 1724 at the University of Cologne Dr. jur. utr. Canon at St. Kunibert (Cologne) since 1726, he became canon in Cologne in 1728. Archbishop Clemens August I of Bavaria appointed him President of the Court of Justice in 1735. Jabach, who was also an Apostolic Protonotary , renounced his canonical to St. Severin before July 15, 1745.
