Hasan Abdullah Mohamed Ismaik ( Arabic حسن عبد الله إسميك; * August 14, 1977 in Kuwait ) is a Jordanian businessman and sports investor .

Career

After attending school in Saudi Arabia , Ismaik, who came from a humble background, studied business administration in Amman . After graduation, he acted in Abu Dhabi with oil and real estate and benefited from the housing boom in 2007 in the Middle East. In 2014, the US business magazine Forbes named him the first billionaire in Jordan and the third youngest billionaire in the Middle East .

Investment in Germany

In March 2011, Ismaik's Munich business partner Hamada Iraki made contact with the second division soccer club TSV 1860 Munich, which was about to go bankrupt . In the following weeks, Ismaik's entry as an investor was negotiated. A draft contract was amended several times in accordance with the DFL's specifications . On May 30, 2011, a cooperation agreement was signed between Ismaik and 1860 München KGaA. For 18 million euros he received 60% of the shares.

Since then, Ismaik has held 3.9 million of the 6.5 million shares in TSV München von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA through his company HAM International Limited , with 1,401,980 preference shares . He is chairman of the six-member supervisory board of 1860 München KGaA and is also a member of the four-member advisory board of Geschäftsführungs-GmbH. Ismaik also holds 90% of the marketing company HI Squared International , which has been responsible for marketing the TSV 1860 since 2011. The remaining 10% is owned by the former Aabar - CEO Mohamed Badawy Al-Husseiny.

On February 19, 2016, Hasan Ismaik announced the construction of a lion stadium opposite the exhibition halls in Riem . The stadium should have at least 52,000 seats. A lion park with all the lion races in the world was to be built next to the stadium . A new building at a different location has been under discussion since September 2016, as a stadium of the planned size would only be possible if neighboring properties were purchased in Riem.

On June 2, 2017, after the team was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga , Ismaik refused the payments required for a license for the 3rd league , so that the first team had to compete in the fourth-class Bavarian regional league in the 2017/18 season . Ismaik still wanted to remain a shareholder in the traditional club's football company and announced that he would file a lawsuit against the 50 + 1 rule in order to achieve more participation.

In May 2018, they were promoted to the 3rd division in 1860, in which they finished 12th in the 2018/19 season.
