Johann Jakob Wick (* 1522 in Zurich ; † August 14, 1588 there ) was a Protestant clergyman.

Little is known about his parents, his grandfather Hans Wick was a Weibel in the town hall . In 1533, Wick came to the Latin school run by Heinrich Bullinger in the former Kappel monastery . After completing his training through theological studies in Tübingen (1540) and Marburg, he worked as a pastor in Zurich-Witikon and in the Zücher rural community Egg . In 1552 he became a hospital pastor in Zurich. In 1557 he rose to the position of second archdeacon at the Grossmünster and owner of a canon benefice. He held these positions until his death.

It entered the historiography through the Wickiana , which is now kept in the Zurich Central Library; an illustrated handwritten collection on current affairs, which he put together in 24 volumes from 1560 until his death.

Wick appears in it as a supporter of the Reformation in the direction of Ulrich Zwingli . In addition to political and cultural events, he recorded and illustrated ghost apparitions and witch burnings .
