Kieren Perkins

Kieren Perkins (born August 14, 1973 in Brisbane ) is a former Australian swimmer .

He was at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta each Olympic champion in the 1500m freestyle . By the summer of 1996 he had already set ten world records, and in 1992 he was the three-time world record holder over the 400, 800 and 1500 meter freestyle course. In 2000, he could only win the silver medal over the long distance at the Olympic Games in his home country.

In 1994 he was named World Swimmer of the Year . In 2006 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
