Michael O'Brien (swimmer)

Michael "Mike" O'Brien (born October 23, 1965 ) is a former American swimmer .

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , he was Olympic champion in the 1500 m freestyle in 15: 05.20 minutes . Due to the Olympic boycott of the Soviet Union , the defending champion, the Russian Vladimir Salnikov , was not at the start.
