Norman Ross
Norman Ross (born May 2, 1896 in Portland , † June 19, 1953 in Evanston ) was an American swimmer .
Career
Ross won three gold medals at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp . He won over 400 m and 1500 m freestyle and with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay . During his playing days he set more than 10 world records .
After a career in swimming, he first became a sports journalist and later worked as a disc jockey for a radio station in Chicago . In 1967 he was inducted into the hall of fame of international swimming .
