Arne Borg
Claes Arne Borg (born August 18, 1901 in Stockholm , † November 7, 1987 in Vallentuna ) was a Swedish swimmer .
At the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam he won the gold medal in the 1500 m freestyle and bronze in the 400 m freestyle. Four years earlier - at the Olympic Games in 1924 - he had won silver on both courses. He also won bronze in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay in 1924 . In his playing days during the twenties, he set 32 world records . In 1926 he was honored with the Svenska Dagbladet gold medal.
In 1966 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame . His twin brother Åke Borg was also a successful swimmer, and his daughter Inga Borg was an author and illustrator of children's books.
