György Csordás
György Csordás [ ˈɟørɟ ˈʧordaːʃ ] (born October 6, 1928 in Cegléd ; † May 9, 2000 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian swimmer.
He was one of the strong Hungarian swimmers shortly after the end of World War II. In 1948 he was an Olympic champion in the 1,500 meter freestyle, in 1952 in Helsinki he finished fifth with the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay. At the European Championships in Turin in 1954 , he won the 400 meter and 1500 meter titles.
