Gunnar Larsson (swimmer)
Gunnar Larsson (born May 12, 1951 in Malmö ) is a former Swedish swimmer .
In 1970 Larsson won the European title over 400 m freestyle , 200 m medley and 400 m medley. For this achievement he was honored with the Svenska Dagbladet gold medal. At the 1972 Olympics in Munich , he was both the 200m Individual Medley and 400 m medley Olympic champion . A year later he became world champion over 200 m medley at the first swimming world championships in 1973 in Belgrade .
In 1979 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
