Serhiy Fessenko
Serhij Leonidowytsch Fessenko ( Ukrainian Сергій Леонідович Фесенко ; born January 29, 1959 in Krywyj Rih ) is a former Ukrainian swimmer who competed for the USSR .
At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow he won the gold medal in the 200 m butterfly and the silver medal in the 400 m medley. He was also European champion in the 400 m medley in 1977 and 1981. Fessenko was Soviet champion several times, for example in 1979, 1981 and 1983 over 200 m butterfly.
His son Serhij jun. also became a swimmer and took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney for Ukraine .
