Ferenc Csik [ ˈfɛrɛnts ˈtʃiːk ] (born December 12, 1913 in Kaposvár , † March 29, 1945 in Sopron ) was a Hungarian swimmer .

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 he won the gold medal in the 100 m freestyle , after having become European champion in this discipline two years earlier and having won bronze with the Hungarian 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. After finishing his high school education in Keszthely he studied medicine. Ferenc Csik was killed in a bomb attack in Sopron in 1945 while working as a doctor and was buried in Keszthely. In 1983 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
