Troy Dalbey
Troy Lane Dalbey (born September 19, 1968 ) is a retired American freestyle swimmer . He won two gold medals at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul .
At the 1988 Summer Olympics, Troy Dalbey started in the 200 meter freestyle and in both freestyle relays. He moved into the final of the 200 meter freestyle as third of his prelim, where he could reach seventh place. Dalbey won gold in the 100-meter freestyle relay, in which he swam the final in second position. Dalbey was also Olympic champion with the 200-meter freestyle relay. Troy Dalbey and his relay partner Doug Gjertsen stole a marble lion head from a hotel and was therefore excluded from the American Olympic team. He was still allowed to keep his gold medals.
