Ivar Stukolkin

Ivar Stukolkin (born August 13, 1960 in Tallinn ) is a former Soviet swimmer of Estonian origin.

During his studies in Leningrad , Stukolkin started for Spartak Leningrad , before and after that for Kalev Tallinn . On March 8, 1980, he set a new European record with the Soviet 4-by-200-meter freestyle relay , which also consisted of Sergei Kopljakow , Alexei Filonow and Andrei Krylow . At the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow , he won the gold medal with the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay and again set a European record. In the 400 m freestyle, Stukolkin won bronze, in the 200 m freestyle he was eliminated as second in his heat. At the 1982 World Swimming Championships he was a member of the Soviet 4-by-200-meter freestyle relay, which won silver. At the European Swimming Championships in 1983 he finished fifth in the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay.
