Jon Olsen (born April 25, 1969 in Jonesboro , Arkansas ) is a retired American swimmer and four-time Olympic champion.

He entered the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and won two gold and one bronze medal with the US swimming relay. In the individual competition over 100 m freestyle, he classified fourth. Four years later at the Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta he led the swimming team as captain and was again able to celebrate two Olympic victories in the 100 m and 200 m freestyle with the relays. In the individual competition over 100 m freestyle, he came ninth this time.

Olsen also took part in the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships several times . In 1989 he won two gold and one silver medals in Tokyo . In 1993 in Kobe he even won four gold medals.

During his career, Olsen was trained by former South African freestyle swimmer Jonty Skinner . He graduated from the University of Alabama , for which he swam in the college championships. Today he lives with his family in Florida, where he teaches swimming at the Florida Keys Swim Club .
