Stephen Roy "Steve" Holland (born May 31, 1958 in New South Wales ) is a former Australian swimmer.

In his short but spectacular career, he set twelve world records in swimming. His nickname was "Super Fish".

He made the first headlines at the age of 15 when he broke the world record over 1500 m at the Australian Championships in 1973. As a result, he became world champion over the long freestyle distance at the first swimming world championships in Belgrade in the same year . Because of this success he was voted "ABC Sportsman of the Year".

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal he was the big favorite, but there was tough competition for victory in the 1500 m freestyle, in which the Americans Bobby Hackett , Brian Goodell and Tim Shaw entered. In the final, Holland "only" won the bronze medal and, disappointed, withdrew from swimming at the age of 18 .
