Fritz Aichinger (born August 14, 1946 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and a member of the state and local council in Vienna.

Education and training

Fritz Aichinger graduated from high school in 1965 and then studied commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . In 1972 he graduated with the doctorate from a doctorate in commercial science. Aichinger also studied at the University of World Trade, where he graduated with a degree in business administration.

Professional and political career

After completing his studies, Aichinger took over his parents' business in the Landstrasse district two years later , a sporting goods retail business. He was subsequently involved in the Chamber of Commerce and in 1984 became a member of the General Assembly of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. Between 1990 and 1995 Aichinger was the head of the federal committee for leather goods, toys and sporting goods and has been the section chairman of the trade section of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce since 1992. He was last re-elected here on May 18, 2005 for a further five years.

In 1993, Aichinger was promoted to deputy chairman of the Association for Consumer Information . Between 1995 and 2003 he also held the office of President of the Fund of the Wiener Kaufmannschaft. He has been a councilor in Vienna since 2001.

Private

Fritz Aichinger is married and has two children.
