Johann Christian Lünig (also Giovanni Cristiano Lünig, Ioannes / Johannes Christianus Lunigius, Johannes Christianus / Johann Christian / Jean Chretien Lunig, Sincerus (Germanus), Sincerus Germanus a Lapide) , (born October 14, 1662 in Schwalenberg in the county of Lippe ; † August 14, 1740 in Leipzig ) was a German lawyer , historian and publicist .

Life

Lünig studied at the universities of Helmstedt and Jena . After long journeys he was bailiff in Eilenburg and city ​​clerk in Leipzig. His speech collections, with which he pursued the goal of making tried and tested speeches available, are among the most important and extensive of his time. He also wrote numerous other collections.
