Progresul CPCS Bucharest was founded in 1954 under the name Voința Bucharest ( German will ) and corresponded to the Romanian national junior team. The club first played in Divizia B . The 1954 season ended the club in third place in season I. In 1955, the name was changed to Progresul Combinatul Poligrafic Casa Scînteii (Progresul CPCS). In the Romanian Cup in 1955 he reached the second round after a success over Dinamo Galați , but was eliminated there against Avântul Fălticeni . In the 1956 season, Progresul CPCS missed the rise in second place in Season II behind Steagul roşu Oraşul Stalin . At the end of the 1957/58 season , the club rose from Divizia B and was dissolved a year later.
