Siderurgistul Galați was a Romanian football club from Galați . He played a total of two years in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A . In 1963 he was in the final of the Romanian Cup .

history

Siderurgistul Galaţi was in 1954, Dinamo Galaţi founded and played first in the Divizia B . The club took one of the back places in season III. When Divizia C was re-established in 1956 and Divizia B was reduced to two seasons, Dinamo had to relegate. In 1958 the club returned to Divizia B. After a placement in midfield, the club fought for promotion to Divizia A from the 1959/60 season . Initially in 1960 he had to give way to CSMS Iași and a year later to Metalul Târgoviște , the club changed its name in 1961, initially to Clubul Sportiv Orăşenesc ( German municipal sports club ), and a short time later to Siderurgistul ( German ironworker ).   

The 1962/63 season was the most successful in the club's history for Siderurgistul. The club finished season I in first place and rose. At the same time he reached the final of the Romanian Cup after victories over Industria Sârmei Câmpia Turzii , Progresul Bucharest and CSMS Iași , but lost to Petrolul Ploieşti 1: 6. The trip to the House of Lords ended after the 1963/64 season six points behind and immediate relegation. In the season 1964/65 the club managed to rise again, but had to relegate again at the end of the 1965/66 season . After he had finished the season 1966/67 in second place and thus missed promotion, the club broke up. The place in Divizia B took Politehnica Galaţi .
