Raúl Fornet-Betancourt

Raúl Fornet-Betancourt (* 1946 in Holguín , Cuba ) is a Latin American philosopher and professor of intercultural philosophy .

Scientific career

Raúl Fornet-Betancourt studied philosophy , theology , literary studies and social sciences in Valencia , Salamanca , Paris and Aachen . He received his doctorate in Aachen as Dr. phil. , in Salamanca for Dr. phil et suffered. and completed his habilitation in philosophy. He is Professor of Philosophy in Bremen and Honorary Professor at RWTH Aachen University . He was visiting professor in Spain, Brazil, Mexico, El Salvador and Austria. His focus is on the philosophy of liberation and intercultural philosophy. He is chairman of the institute for the interdisciplinary and intercultural research of phenomena of social exclusion eV in Eichstätt .
