Gheorghe Băcuț (born July 12, 1927 in Oradea , Bihor County , † June 11, 1974 ) was a Romanian football player . He was in 236 games of the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A , used.

Career

Băcuț started playing football at Stăruin beia Oradea at the age of eight . In 1946 he moved to ITA Arad in Divizia A , where he was used for the first time on August 25, 1946. In Arad he experienced three successful years in which he was able to record two championship titles ( 1947 and 1948 ) and a cup victory.

At the beginning of the 1950 season , Băcuț moved to league rivals Dinamo Bucharest . At Dinamo he was able to book further successes. After a three-time runner-up from 1951 to 1953 and a lost cup final he could in 1955 einheimsen his third championship title.

In 1957, Băcuț left Dinamo and returned to CS Oradea in his hometown of Oradea . However, his time in Oradea was not crowned with success. After relegation at the end of the 1957/58 season , he was suspended for one year and ended his career after two seasons in Divizia B in 1961.

Băcuț played 28 games for the Romanian national football team and scored one goal. He made his debut against Hungary on September 30, 1945 at the age of 18 .
