Nea Erythrea ( Greek Νέα Ερυθραία ( f. Sg. )) Is a city in the north of the Athens prefecture of the Attica region in Greece . The municipality, which was independent from 1982 to 2010, had a population of 17,131 in 2011.

In 1981 the population was 10,100, in 1991 it was already 12,993 and in 2001 it was 15,439

Due to the administrative reform in 2010 , Nea Erythrea was merged with Kifisia and Ekali to form the new Kifisia municipality.
