  • Controversy

Only two games were played as part of the tournament:

In retrospect, it was widely believed that Olympia Bucharest had won this competition, and therefore the club was named Bucharest's first champion and, years later, the first Romanian national champion retrospectively. Other sources claim that Colentina Bucharest was the actual winner of the cup because some games did not take place due to the non-appearance of one of the teams. However, there is no evidence of this in the daily press at the time. According to research by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics , another game between United Ploieşti and Olympia Bucharest is said to have taken place, from which United emerged as the winner with one goal difference. This would have made Colentina the first legitimate master of Bucharest .
