Eric de Oliveira Pereira (born December 5, 1985 in Nova Iguaçu ), known as Eric , is a Brazilian football player . He has been under contract with Al-Markhiya Sports Club in Qatar since January 2018 .

Career

Eric came to Europe in 2007, where he was hired by the Romanian second division club Gaz Metan Mediaș . There he contributed ten goals in 31 games instrumental in the club at the end of the 2007/08 season in the Liga 1 returned. In the two following years he was unable to build on this goal haul, but always secured himself with his team to stay in the class. In the 2010/11 season he made his breakthrough in the top division when he had a large share in qualifying for the Europa League with 15 goals . Then the Ukrainian first division club Karpaty Lviv took him . There he could not prevail and came only six times in the 2011/12 season . Eric returned to Gaz Metan in the summer of 2012. In the summer of 2013 he moved to league rival Pandurii Târgu Jiu . In the first half of the 2013/14 season , he scored eleven goals in 18 appearances and played with his club in the group stage of the Europa League .

At the beginning of 2014, the Saudi Arabian first division club al-Ahli signed him . In the 2013/14 season , however, he was only used nine times and could only score one goal. In early 2015, Eric returned to Pandurii. In the summer of 2015, Matsumoto Yamaga FC brought him to the Japanese J1 League , but had to relegate his club at the end of the season . He moved to Najran SC in Saudi Arabia. There, the 2015/16 season ended again with relegation. Eric returned to Gaz Metan in the summer of 2016. A year later he switched to FC Viitorul Constanța and only six months later to Al-Markhiya Sports Club in Qatar . For the 2019 season Eric returned to Romania for FC Viitorul Constanța.
