The Tippeligaen 2014 was the 70th season of the highest Norwegian football league and the 24th season under the name Tippeligaen . It started on March 28th and ended on November 9th, 2014 with the 30th matchday. The defending champion was Strømsgodset IF .

The season's 16 teams consisted of the 14 best-placed clubs from the previous season as well as the two promoted teams FK Bodø / Glimt and Stabæk Fotball from the 2013 Adeccoliga . They played the champions and relegated players against each other in home and return matches. As in the previous season, the champions took part in the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League and the second, third and fourth placed in the 2015/16 UEFA Europa League . The last two placed were relegated directly, the third from bottom played in the relegation against relegation.

The fourteenth of the Tippeliga 2014 played two relegation games against the winner of the promotion round in the second-class 1st division . The games were played on November 23 and 26, 2014. The winner qualified for the Tippeligaen 2015 .
