The Nadderud stadium ( Norwegian Nadderud stadium ) is a soccer stadium with athletics track in Nadderud in the Norwegian municipality Bærum . It was until 2008 and has been the home of the Stabæk Fotball football club again since 2012 . It was also the venue for the Bærum SK football club .
history
The stadium opened in 1961. The attendance record dates back to 1970. On August 30th of that year, around 10,000 spectators attended the cup match between Stabæk Fotball and Strømsgodset IF . In 1996 the new main grandstand increased the capacity with 2,900 seats. Today the Nadderud Stadium has a capacity of around 7,000 spectators. Up to and including the 2008 season, the Stabæk IF played its home games in Nadderud Stadium. In 2009 the club moved to the newly built Telenor Arena , but returned to the Nadderud Stadium in 2012 because of the high rent.
The stadium was the venue for the Norwegian Athletics Championships in 1966 and 1985. In 2000, the European Athletics Cup B final made a stop in the stadium. Furthermore, the Norwegian Bandy Championship in 1970 was decided with the final on May 22nd of that year between Stabæk Bandy and Strømsgodset IF Bandy (1: 3).
