The 1. Divisjon 1967 was the 23rd season of the highest Norwegian football league and the fifth season under the name 1. Divisjon . The season began on April 27, 1967 and ended on October 22, 1967.

The 10 teams played against each other in a simple game round with a return game, so that each team played 18 games. Champion was the leader after the last match day. The last two teams had to be relegated.

The newly promoted Rosenborg BK became Norwegian champions for the first time.
Rosenborg has led the table continuously since the second matchday. In the second half of the season they were always more than two points ahead of their pursuers. Already after the 15th match day, the championship was almost impossible to take away from them, as they were five points ahead of all other teams. They finally secured first place on matchday 17.
The second promoted Strømsgodset IF was also able to hold onto the 1st division.
