Season course

Rosenborg BK won the Norwegian championship for the 13th time in a row. It was also the 19th championship for the team.

The season was characterized by excitement until the last minute of the season. In the preliminary round, the team from Tromsø IL was at the top of the table. However, they weren't able to get a big head start. In the second half of the season, Rosenborg BK took the lead until the end of the season. However, they couldn't break away either. The last three match days were curious when Rosenborg BK and Vålerenga Oslo had both the same number of points and goal difference. Only because of the more goals scored, Rosenborg was ahead. The excitement of the last match day was unbeatable: from the 28th to the 58th minute of the game, Vålerenga was the virtual champion with a 1-0 lead. Then Rosenborg scored the first goal and so they were back in front. But only up to the 83rd minute (score 3: 1). Now Vålerenga was back in the lead with one goal (score 3: 0). The final point in favor of Rosenborg was the top scorer in the league, Frode Johnsen, in the 89th minute with his 19th goal of the season (final score 4: 1).

Brann Bergen won the trophy for the sixth time . It was the first win since 1982.
