The Kongsvinger IL (in German: "Kongsvinger Sportverein") is a Norwegian football club from Kongsvinger and was founded on January 31, 1892 . The club plays its home games in the 5,824-seat Gjemselund Stadium .
Currently (2020 season) the club plays in the second division of Norwegian football. Between 1983 and 1999 he played continuously in the first division . In 2016 they reached the final in the cup competition .
