The Norwegian Football Cup ( Norwegian : Norgesmesterskap i fotball for herrer ; short: NM-Cup ) is the national cup competition for men's club teams in Norwegian football. First held in 1902, it is the country's oldest soccer competition. It is also known colloquially under the name Cupen . The host is the Norwegian football association Norges Fotballforbund (NFF).

Between 1941 and 1944 the trophy was canceled due to the German occupation . Since 1948, the final has only taken place in the Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo . Teams from Northern Norway have only been allowed to participate since 1963 . The obstacles were the long journeys and the prevailing view that the teams from the north did not have the necessary playing level.

In contrast to many European countries, the cup winner in Norway bears the title of “Norwegian master” ( Norgesmester ), while the winner of the highest league is referred to as “league master” ( seriemester ).

Odd Grenland and Rosenborg Trondheim hold the cup record with twelve titles each. Current title holder (2019) is Viking Stavanger .
