Qualification for Pepe Reyes Cup
UEFA Europa League

The Gibraltar Football Cup (original name: Rock Cup ) is the national cup competition for club teams in Gibraltar . The competition was first held in 1895 and has been held annually ever since. Since the winners of some seasons are unknown, there is no reliable information about a record winner of the competition. Of the known seasons, Lincoln FC has won the most with 15 titles. The Rock Cup is organized by the Gibraltar Football Association (GFA), the Gibraltar football association.

In May 2013, UEFA announced that the Gibraltar Football Association would be accepted as a new member. Thus, the cup winner received the right to start qualifying for the UEFA Europa League for the first time in the 2014/15 season . The cup winner also takes part in the Pepe Reyes Cup , the Gibraltar Supercup. There he meets the champion of the Gibraltar Eurobet Division .

mode

The competition is currently played in a knockout system in five rounds with 20 participating teams. All six teams from the 1st league only start in the 2nd round. In round 1, a total of four games will be drawn. The six lower class clubs not drawn receive a bye. In the second round, the six top division clubs take part together with the four winners of the first round and the six teams with a bye for the first round and are drawn to each other.

All matches are played in one game and take place in the only stadium in the country, the Victoria Stadium .
