history
Follo Fotballklubb was founded in 2000. The new club was an amalgamation of six local teams, namely Ås IL , Oppegård IL , Langhus IL , Ski IL , Nordby IL and Vestby IL .
For the first time, the still young club attracted attention in 2006, when they reached the quarter-finals in the Norwegian Cup and only then failed at the later finalist Sandefjord Fotball . On the way to the quarter-finals, the team defeated, among others, the first division club Molde FK . Four years later, in 2010, Follo Fotball caused another sensation in the cup. After victories over Lillestrøm SK , FK Tønsberg, Sogndal Fotball and record champions Rosenborg Trondheim , the club reached the final of the Norwegian Cup, where they met Strømsgodset IF . If they had won the Cup, Follo Fotball would have been the first Norwegian second division team to qualify for the UEFA Europa League . However, Follo lost the final 2-0.
In league operations, Follo Fotball has played five seasons in the second-highest league so far, the last time in 2013 .
