Sandnes Ulf is a football club from the Norwegian city of Sandnes . The club was founded on May 11, 1911 . The club plays its home games in Sandnes Idrettspark , which has a capacity of around 3800 seats. The current stadium is not suitable for the elite series . A new stadium has therefore been in the planning stage since November 2012, with a capacity of around 7,600.
The team managed to move up to the second division in 2007 . The 2011 season ended second, so that in the 2012 season the debut in the Tippeliga could be celebrated, from which they were relegated in 2014. In 2015 they only missed 6th place due to the poorer goal difference, which would have entitled them to participate in the relegation to promotion to the Tippeliga, and had to be satisfied with 7th place. In 2016 the relegation failed in the semi-finals.
