The Alfheim Stadium ( Norwegian Alfheim Stadium ) is a football stadium in the northern Norwegian city of Tromsø in the province of Troms og Finnmark . The football club Tromsø IL meets its opponents here.
history
Since Tromsø and the Alfheim Stadium, which opened in 1987, are north of the Arctic Circle , heated artificial turf has been installed since 2006 . The facility currently offers 6,801 seats, including 6,636 seats. The visitor record dates back to 1990; when Tromsø IL met Rosenborg Trondheim in the quarter-finals of the Norwegian Cup in front of 10,225 spectators . A floodlight system with 1,400 lux illuminates the playing field.
In the stadium there are u. a. a clubhouse ; 26 VIP - boxes ; the office of the association; Kiosks, restaurants; Fan shop; Office and conference rooms. There are plans to expand the stadium at the back of the gate. First the south stand would be expanded; then a spectator tier was built on the open north side.
